REVENUE

2023/24 was an extremely disappointing league season for Aberdeen – but a fantastic season in terms of revenue. They took in a record £23.63m – more than double their income from 10 years ago.

Aberdeen's revenue each year since 2013/14. A record number of £23.6m last year is the third highest in Scotland ahead of Hearts (£20.3m) and behind only Rangers (£88.3m) and Celtic (£124.6m). The Scottish Champions Celtic bring in exactly £101m more than Aberdeen

This rise of nearly £8m was driven by two major factors; fans at matches and the team qualifying for the Conference League group stage. Matchday revenue rose from £4.1m to £6.81m (higher than their previous record £5.4m from 2018/19) while they made £5,042,000 from Conference League Phase football. That shows how game changing European qualification is, as that’s compared to just £331,000 the previous year from UEFA solidarity payments

Aberdeen's matchday revenue over the last 10 years. The figure grew consistently until the onset of Covid-19 which came after their previous high in 2018/19, which Aberdeen have only just returned to - and now eclipsed.
