Knockout football returns to Celtic Park tomorrow night in what promises to be one of the most electric atmospheres of Celtic’s season. For those of us watching from home, the match will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 2, with an 8pm kick off. Celtic have reached the knockout stages of European competition for the first time since their disappointing Conference League dropdown tie against Bodø/Glimt in 2022. Expectations are rising in Glasgow, despite the formidable opposition.

HISTORY AGAINST THE GERMANS

This is the third German team Celtic have faced in their nine European matches this season, following a crucial home win over RB Leipzig on matchday 4 and a disastrous away defeat to Borussia Dortmund on matchday 2. Historically, Celtic have struggled against German opposition, winning just five of their 30 encounters - their lowest number of wins against any of Europe’s major footballing nations.
