The BBC picked up on my reporting of this proverbial cliff edge, which they kindly referenced in their European preview this week.
So with points earned in the qualification rounds counting towards the country coefficient, Rangers starting one round earlier this summer provided the perfect opportunity to put points on the board in mid July.
