Multi Club Ownership Rules - Rangers and Leeds
Fresh reports today suggesting the San Fran 49ers are looking to purchase more than 50% of Rangers
Tom English and BBC Sport are reporting that the proposed San Francisco 49ers investment in Rangers would be to take on more than 50% of the shares, while clearing the debt owed to those shareholders.
This would be a fairly expensive purchase - at least £50m for the shares alone if only purchased at 0.20 per share (likely be higher)
The SFA board would need to approve such a purchase if Paraag Marathe (the Leeds United Chairman) is going to be involved - due to Multi Club Ownership rules.
