Dundee United named a starting XI with no Scots for the first time in their history, as they secured a narrow 1-0 1st leg victory

Dundee United named a starting XI containing no Scottish players for the first time in their history tonight. It was also only the second time in history that a Scottish side named a starting XI containing no British players* since Rangers did the same against Aberdeen, 24 years ago.
*(by football nationality, as Ryan Strain and Will Ferry were born in England but represent Australia and Ireland respectively)

It’s as interesting stat as it is depressing, given the ongoing lack of game time that Scottish youngsters get in the Premiership.
However that aside, it was “No Scotland - A little party” at Tannadice as a new-look Dundee United side secured the win everyone expected. In terms of coefficient points, it was another baby step towards our end of season target, as I will now lay out.
