Blue men sink United
Since scoring the first goal of the Premiership season against Rangers at Tannadice, Dundee United have conceded 11 goals without reply in all competitions. That run includes their 4-0 League Cup defeat at home to Celtic. It’s the first time ever that Dundee have won two official league matches at Tannadice in the same calendar year.
United sit second-bottom with one point, while city rivals Dundee are second top with six. Both have played one match more than every other team in the division after the weekend’s remaining fixtures were postponed at the request of the five clubs involved in the UEFA play-off round.
In other news, the SNS group last night photographed Dundee manager Steven Pressley arriving at the match carrying what appears to be a custom tote bag featuring a Tuareg man, one of the “blue men of the Sahara”, pictured here by African fashion magazine ARISE back in 2013.
