In February of this year I outlined the prize money earned by each club so far this season. This included UEFA prize money, the prizes for the three domestic cups (League Cup, Scottish Cup & Challenge Cup) and lastly SPFL distributions based on league position - as the leagues stood at that time.
Now that three of the four SPFL leagues have finished, we can finalise the estimated SPFL prize money for 30 of the 42 clubs. The playoffs to determine the final promotion and relegation places are yet to take place, but these have no direct financial prize. The outcome of the playoffs will only affect the prize money on offer next season to each of the clubs involved - depending on which division they play in!
This short article will only cover the prize money for the three completed SPFL tiers. Total prize money - including the cups, will be updated after the Scottish Cup Final.
