Last season I introduced a weekly stats pack for all four SPFL divisions, including a pre and post-match article. As with almost all posts on the website, this was an exclusive feature for paid subscribers.
This season, I will be continuing with the Stats Packs, only for paid subscribers, but with the following improvements:
Stats pack will no longer be purely text, and will now consist of at least 21 graphics - one for each match across the SPFL.
Stats pack will contain the average xG in the fixture over the last few years, for the fixtures in which I have enough data
“Top scorer in the fixture” will be since 1990 for the Premiership and since 2000 for the lower three tiers
All six opening Premiership fixtures are live on Sky Sports, starting with Dundee United v Rangers tonight at 8pm.
Rangers will become only the second club in the 130-year history of Scotland’s top flight to begin six consecutive seasons with six different managers.
Kilmarnock hold the record with seven from 2014/15 to 2020/21.
Premiership
Only three of the 42 clubs in the SPFL have an opening-day win record greater than 50%; Hearts (54%), Rangers (62%) and Celtic (85%).
