Following the dismissal of Russell Martin, it looked like Rangers would finally win a home league match this season. A much improved first half performance under interim manager Stevie Smith saw Rangers have 24 shots to just the 2 of Dundee United. Thelo Aasgaard contributed for the first time this season, with a brilliantly finished solo goal as they went in 1-0 up at the break.

However two superb long range strikes from Sibbald and Trapanovski turned the match on its head, before the Rangers captain James Tavernier rescued a point late on.
