Rangers have pulled off the unexpected and recorded a historic 3-1 win in Istanbul.

It’s only the fifth time in history that a Scottish team has won 3 or more European away games in a single season (excluding qualifiers).

Rangers have recorded victories in Sweden against Malmö, in France against Nice and now in Turkey against Fenerbahçe. They last achieved this feat in 2020/21 under Steven Gerrard when they won away to Standard Liège, Lech Poznań, and Antwerp. A look at the below graphic shows just how rare this is.
