THE EUROPEAN ENTRY POINTS

Before last week’s matches, Opta stats - gave Scotland just a 7.5% chance of finishing in the top 15 of UEFA’s coefficient rankings. After last week’s results - Celtic’s draw away to Red Star Belgrade and Rangers’ home loss to Genk, that likelihood has now dropped to 5.3%.

Opta Stats’ probabilities for each country finishing in each position. Scotland are given a 0.4% chance of finishingm14th and a 4.9% of finishing 15th.

Remember that what the Scottish teams are fighting for in the coefficient mines THIS season, affects the European entry points awarded at the END OF NEXT season. We are aiming to finish inside the top 15, otherwise we’ll suffer a sharp drop off in entry points for all of our clubs.
