Celtic have today announced that Season Tickets for the upcoming 2025/6 campaign have completely sold out, despite fan protests at a 5%+ rise in prices. My research into 2025/26 season ticket prices across Scotland revealed that Celtic had the most expensive adult renewal price in Scotland.

Although some fans are charged almost £900 for their season ticket at Celtic, £608 was the cheapest price available for an adult renewing an existing season ticket at Celtic Park - excluding tickets classed as ‘restricted view’, such as in the North Stand Upper. Additionally, Celtic still have some season ticket holders sat behind the goals (in the ‘Rangers end’ under the previous substantially higher away allocations) that can purchase their season ticket for £560 - then pay £58 per match if they wish to take their seat for the 2 games against Rangers. These tickets were also excluded.

This article will detail Celtic’s:

  • Number of season ticket holders since 2001:

    • the 2016/17 climb and the current waiting list

    • Percentage of capacity

    • Comparison to top clubs in UK (in depth look at Liverpool)

  • Average home attendance since 2001:

    • 55k+ most of the time

    • Seasons that dipped

  • Total revenue since 2001:

    • The 4 seasons a Scottish club has topped £100m

  • “Football stadium” income since 2004:

    • The most important source

    • The drop due to rewarding supporters loyalty
