Last season I introduced a weekly stats pack for all four SPFL divisions, including a pre and post-match article. As with almost all posts on the website, this was an exclusive feature for paid subscribers.

This season, I will be continuing with the Stats Packs, only for paid subscribers, but with the following improvements:

  • Stats pack will no longer be purely text, and will now consist of at least 21 graphics - one for each fixture across the SPFL.

  • Stats pack will contain the average xG in the fixture over the last few years, for the fixtures in which I have enough data

  • “Top scorer in the fixture” will be since 1990 for the Premiership and since 2000 for the lower three tiers

Premiership

All five Scottish sides involved in the UEFA play-off round elected to postpone their game this weekend, as per the new SPFL ruling. The opposition are not consulted, it is an automatic postponement if the club in Europe requests it.

The five postponed matches will be rearranged in the first free week in which neither team plays. For the four sides in the Conference League play-off, this will be the Champions League only week (8th-10th September).

For Celtic, this will either be that same week only if they lose to Lask, or the following week (15th-17th September) if they progress.

Scotland’s Coefficient is a reader-supported publication. My long-term goal is to make this my full-time job. For that, I need your help. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
