ESTA INFORMATION
Anyone travelling from Scotland to the USA for the World Cup next summer WILL need to apply in advance for an ESTA, the automated system that determines the eligibility of visitors to travel to the US under the “Visa Waiver Program (VWP).”
There are lots of companies online, that feature prominently on google searches, that advertise their services in securing your ESTA for you. Do not use these companies. These are third parties, charging you way above the actual cost of applying for ESTA, for something you can do yourself with ease.
The cost of obtaining this electronic travel authorisation is $40 - and so if you are on a website charging you more than this, it is not the official website.
